Summary of The Escape

Quickly realizing the graveness of the situation, Sky, badly wounded from his battle with the Grand Maester, stepped between a quarelling Raven and Payne and ordered a retreat. An ex-Shinra employee, Ophiuchus, served as a guide for the ragtag group of rebels, leading the way to the nearest exit.

Meanwhile, KOS-MOS stormed the harbor, being pursued by several groups of SOLDIERs. The Rebels quickly retreated on their vessels, and the available gunners destroyed almost all of the harbor. The rebels had made their quick escape, but hadn't managed to retrieve their leaders.

While Raven and Payne continued to argue, Raven's friend, a swordsman named Mirage, appeared. Realizing the danger the summoner was being put in, Payne had little choice but to leave her in Netheroth's care. He had them teleport just outside of Iri, and they headed for the nearest Inn to await the arrival of the others.

The Rebels made three groups- the point, consisting of the Tel'Sindavathar, Odin, and their guide; the mid-section, consisting of Sky and Cloud, and the rear, consisting of Payne and the samurai, Genji. After a short while, Raven and the newcomer, Mirage, appeared at the back of the group, running from pursuing soldiers. After being ordered to get to the middle group by Payne, the two men jumped into the air and began to float, a power belonging to Raven. Payne snapped at this point, as their intentions were clear- they were after Eden again, and he would have none of it.

At just about the same time, Darkrist joined up with the middle group. After just about being struck down by Cloud, Sky heard Payne's laser cannon fire behind him, and ordered Darkrist to aid the guardian. Reluctantly, he turned around and headed toward Genji and Payne, who were now fighting Mirage and Raven, respectively. Odin, however, heard the gunfire from behind and turned around. Noticing Sky slow down, Odin abandoned the point and quickly ran to Payne's group, taking over Genji's spot in the quarrel. Genji quickly left the area and filled the opening in the point.

Finally, the Rebels made it to the slums, whereupon Kane rejoined the middle group. Meanwhile, the battle continued to rage between Raven and Payne, but it seemed Raven had the upper hand. The battle between Mirage and Odin, however, was deadlocked.

Back in the slums, the middle group's progress was halted by a strange looking bodybuilder. Luckily, battle was avoided when a Shinra operative, Ouka, appeared and challenged the man. Sky and his group, with little time to spare, quickly ran off. However, Ouka and the bodybuilder were then confronted by Xadako of Consortium Cuore as well as a strange silver-haired man. He sparked memories in Cloud's mind, but Sky pulled him forward before he could do anything.

Suddenly, just as Darkrist rushed the battlefield and prepared to hold Raven in place for Payne's next attack, Raven's friend the summoner Ryune summoned Wraith. The Rebels had yet another foe to deal with, and the battle was looking to be a lengthy one. However, with both sides reaching their limits, their true abilities were awakening. With a devastating combination of attacks from Payne and Darkrist, Wraith was slain, and the tables were turned yet again. Realizing the danger they were in, Raven quickly drew his group into an alternant dimension that he used for teleporting, just managing to escape death by Payne and Odin's combined attacks. Payne yelled at Darkrist to chase after them, but seeing nothing in it for himself, refused.

Finally reaching the end of the Slums, the Rebels were hit with yet another problem- the Shinra had crafted a huge, makeshift wall that barred their path out of the city. Though it had pitiful construction, it was still an obstacle. And, with the barrier starting to come back online, they couldn't afford to lose any more time. Joined with a new ally of Sky's, a crafty theif Raikou Kiba, they were able to take down the wall after unleashing their most powerful attacks. However, they were not prepared for their next trial. Standing amid the ruin of the wall was the super-SOLDIER, The Great Sephiroth. Yawgmoth then appeared, attempting to attack Sephiroth. Sephiroth then threw the demon into the nearest building, and he did not return onto the battlefield.

A long battle with Sephiroth ensued, taking it's toll on almost all who gathered there. During the battle, seeing that the barrier was beginning to come back online, Kane left the battlefield and took out one of the barrier generators by sacrificing his lifestream energy, buying the Rebels perhaps a few more minutes of time. However, upon seeing the great power Sephiroth had, Darkrist betrayed his allies and joined forces with the SOLDIER. Sky, hoping to buy time for the others to attack Sephiroth, took it upon himself to eliminate Darkrist.

Payne and Odin began running for the exit of the city, seeing it as their only chance to find and destroy their foes. Along the way, they began exterminating SOLDIERs that had begun to pursue the other Rebels.

Genji then took over the fight with Sephiroth. Cloud was in no condition to fight any longer, and he began to retreat with Ophiuchus and Raikou.

During the fight against Darkrist, another of Shinra's super-SOLDIERs sprung down onto the battlefield. Her name was Rain, and she was created after Vincet as an improvement upon the data they had collected from him. Her mission was to kill Sky, but instead she ended up saving him from being destroyed by Darkrist. After Sky recovered (by giving in to the dark side of his blade's power), they both attacked and managed to destroy (or so it seems) Darkrist. However, their combined attack caused a huge amount of debris to fall onto the battlefield.

At about the same time, Yawgmoth emerged from the building Sephiroth had thrown him into earlier. He had been gathering energy the whole time, and unleashed a huge fireball at Sephiroth. All those doing battle were blown aside by the immense blast, and the rubble that Sky and Rain had created crumbled down over top of them. Yawgmoth then replaced Genji in the battle, just as the barrier finally came online.

After some time, Sky managed to build up energy by absorbing pyreflies that had begun to emerge from the planet. With the new energy sustaining him, he busted Rain and himself out of the debris and joined the fight against Sephiroth. Sephiroth seemed to have slowed down considerably, and he had begun to bleed. Seeing this weakness, both warriors attacked Sephiroth at full force, and the battle came to a close when Yawgmoth's blade pierced Sephiroth's heart.

...but it wasn't Sephiroth. He had managed to replace himself with one of his minions. As the replacement died, Sephiroth emerged once more, abducting Jenova-infused boy named Kaijuu after striking Sky down. Sephiroth took off for the barrier, and an enraged Yawgmoth went after in pursuit. However, he was unable to stop the SOLDIER, and he managed to escape from the Rebels once more.

After a short while, Payne and Odin came across Sky's body. Payne used some of his remaining pent-up energy to heal Sky before Odin picked him up and they headed for the barrier. The Rebels finally gathered at their last obstacle- the barrier. As if on a cue, the Tel'Sindavathar emerged from the alleyways, still striking down Shinra soldiers.

The group noticed the generator Kane had taken out and, not wanting his sacrifice to be in vain, decided to overload the barrier. A chain reaction was set off by Payne's beam-gun and KOS-MOS' draining and rapidly restoring power to the nearest generator. All of the generators surrounding the city exploded, one by one, due to the immense overload. Drained completely from the task, Payne collapsed to the ground.

Just as the Rebels thought they were home free, Rain informed them that Vincet was coming, and had assembled an army of the most elite SOLDIERs to pursue them. Rain elected to stay behind and attempt to halt the enemy's progress. Though her intentions were still unclear to Sky, the Rebels took off after the transport, Sky and Artemis taking up the rear.

A large battle then ensued between Rain and the SOLDIERs pouring out of the city. Eventually, a large group got past her and engaged Sky and Artemis. Although Raikou came to Sky's rescue, he ordered him to return to the ship with the rest of the Rebels.

Sky then cleverly used his Haste materia to get himself and Artemis as close to the transport as possible. There was only room for Artemis on the vessel, though, and Sky elected to stay behind and fight off the SOLDIERs to give them a path to escape. The vessel pulled away and opened fire on the SOLDIERs. A large portion was eliminated, but Sky still was overwhelmed by the SOLDIERs.

Just as a SOLDIER attempted to pierce Sky's chest with a lance, Artemis jumped from the ship and killed him by shooting an arrow through his chest. Sky was still in critical condition, and Artemis fought through the waist-deep water to his side.

Finally, Vincet arrived at the edge of the Slums and engaged Rain. They were very evenly matched, and neither side seemed to be winning. However, Vincet's blade began to resonate with a strange power, and at the last moment, they managed to jump out of the way of a huge blast of bright-white energy released from Sky's blade. Artemis then caught her fallen comrade and shimmered away.

The Rebels finally arrived at Iri as the sun was setting. They could only hope that Sky and Artemis were there to guide them through the elfin City.

Now, the format is going to take a sharp turn. There are no planned conflicts in Iri (the shinra aren't going to come), so there will be a break in the fight-fight-fight style of RPing for a while. This is THE BEST TIME to get in some side-stories and to build some depth with your characters. You're free to leave Iri, but I would recommend staying somewhere nearby because the Rebels will eventually hold a meeting discussing their next move.

Also, something that may be a bit different from what you're used to- Artemis will most likely be the authority in this thread rather than myself. If any major plot points happen here, they will most likely be her doing.

Points of interest in Iri:

- Bahamut Temple: It has recieved much more attention then back in the day, but is still a ways off of the beaten path. Payne knows exactly where it is, though, and it seems as if he's been here before.

- House of Healing: This is a hospital set up by the citizens of Iri. Payne was taken here in critical conditon.

- Erufu Temple: This is a major religious point for elves. While Bahamut Temple is located in Iri as well, it is mainly a religious point for humans.

- Phoenix River Inn: This serves as the temporary command center for the Rebels. Sky has stayed in this inn many times, so he is friends with the owner. The Rebels have to lay low, though, so major gatherings take place in the hidden basement level.

Basic Layout of Iri

It's a not-so-hidden metropolis, so there are plenty of shops on the main strip, along with inns. The bars start to pop up when you deviate from the main strip. There's pretty much every kind of shop, the more popular being on the main strip. The more commercial stuff is in the center, along with some apartment complexes, radiating out into the residential and the farming on the outer fringes.

Aether dark brown eyes shone in the setting sunlight. He looked at Chobi who was happily sleeping, soon he would have to wake him and meet with his friends in Iri Village.

His training in the forest's of Iri had been most fruitful, he had studied and defeated the majority of the monsters and it had made him a better fighter overall. He had found Chobi entangled in a thorn bush and had rescued him, but when he tried to continue with his traning the chocobo would not leave him alone. It was strange he felt as though he had known Chobi for a long time. At nightfall he would move to Iri Village.

Elsewhere in the deep dark recces of Raven's mind, he fought.

"You did it, you murdered him"!

"What, no i i didn't mean to"!

"Get out Get out"!

"Mama"!

He saw it. He knew that aeon. Phoenix.

"Raven, if you continue the path you take you will only find more pain. Change your ways before it is too late"

And with that his mind was clear.

Xan strode quickly towards the trees before him. He wanted to reach the forest by nightfall, and it looked like he still had a couple miles to go yet.

The rumors of a village in the forest was a long shot, but the last town he stopped at held no answers, and it was his only hope.

Odin was relieved to see the city: Iri. He looked at Payne who was still unconcious by his side.

"I never thought I'd be protecting a guardian. Heh...go figure."

Odin remained vigilant, never letting anyone near Payne's body while he was in such an unstable condition. He tried to let the waves from the boat relax him, but his muscles were still tense. But finally, he could rest. He knew there would be beds and, more importantly, bars. He fought his heart out in that battle. First to protect Sky, but then to protect Payne. He was ready for some peace.

"So...Ophiuchus never made it out of the city, huh? We're alive because of him, but we also failed to listen when he told us to leave. Now he's dead."

Genji had sustained major wounds in the battle, but was far too concerned with the loss of their new comrade. Genji had his swords both propped up against his right shoulder with his arms wrapped around them both to protect them and support them. He had his helmet off and rested his left hand on it. His face was dark and tan, but ridden with scars and his hair was unkempt. Though a wreck, Genji was a true warrior.

((Yes, Ophiuchus has officially been given the boot. Razz He will be replaced...but by whom? Wait and find out...or just "Scan" me.))

Netheroth sat brooding in the corner of the Pheonix River Inn. Eden sat across from him, her head lying peacefully on her folded arms, slumped over the table. She had been sleeping for quite a while, having worn herself out, first with the summoning, and then by worrying about the others. The demon could do nothing to sooth her, as he himself did not have a clear picture of what had happened.

Netheroth knew this: Sephiroth and Yawgmoth had appeared, and then disappeared again; Darkrist had been eliminated, though he was almost certainly not dead; Payne's energy had spiked, and then dropped dramatically (the demon had not relayed this to Eden, as it would simply worry her more); and Sky had taken yet more damage. In fact, Sky was so weakened that Netheroth could no longer pinpoint his location, as his aura was everywhere, in the form of escaped pyreflies. Netheroth did not know Sky's eleven companion well enough to find her, either.

The rest of the rebels seemed to be heading to Iri in some sort of airborne transport, however, and they would arrive within a minute or two. Netheroth extended his arm, and gently nudged Eden's arm, at the same time whispering, "Eden... Eden! Awaken! The others will be here very soon! Payne is with them!"

[ooc] This is the third time I've written this, because of my stupid computer... not going to lose it this time!

Netheroth knows a little more detail than this, but I got tired of rewriting it. This is the gist.

He knows what Sky, is, too. He doesn't care, though. It isn't unusual to him to be made of spirit alone...

Netheroth also doesn't know about Rain, as her aura isn't very prominent yet, and it's similar to Sky's.

That's all! [/ooc]

[ooc]Sorry about all the colors, but this could get confusing.[/ooc]

Xadako leads her gang of assorted people into Iri. She forces Ouka to lead, followed by Kadaj. Xadako tells Ouka to cover herself with the black robe she has been holding for some time. She doesn't bother to give one to Joachim, but he probably wouldn't fit in one anyway. Besides, it might cover his "Rippling Muscles," as he so eloquently and non-egotistically called them.

Before they actually enter the city, they hear a deep meow. A giant cat comes to them and asks if they have anything to drink.

"Haven't I seen you before? Weren't you with my sister?"

"Ah, the cheap sushi chef...I thought I recognized you. What was your name again? Q the Great? The Great Question? Oh, by the way, it's not really that much of a question. We all know."

"Yes, it was I who defeated my great teacher in the Man Festival! You must have heard of the strength I possess!"

"Umm...no. Enough of that. You, in the black robe...the one closest to me. Do you have anything to drink?"

Xadako, the closest to Mao, says nothing and watches Ouka. Their deal would never be broken if she had anything to say about it. Kadaj spins around her and runs in front of Mao.

"Don't speak to my master unless she speaks first!"

"So, I've found a slaveowner. I thought there were no slaves here."

"He's not a slave. He's a willing minion who, for some reason, follows me around and does everything I say. He's sort of a lost puppy, if you will."

"Well, a lost cat reacts the same way. Want to take a girl where they have some liquor?"

"Women can't hold their liquor!" (Isn't Joachim such a smart person? You know, being the only man besides Kadaj in the group Razz)

"You, with the mask. Shut up and keep all comments to yourself. I revoke your right to speak."

Xadako drops a sandbag on his head, but fails to knock him out like she intended.

It figures. I had to get the guy with a thick skull...

"Let's try this again..."
She continuously drops sandbags on him from her ropeset, none of which knock him out, but when she decides to stop, no part of him is showing, "come on?! Will you ever get knocked out?!" muffled voice "Oh well. I'll just leave you here. Come on, kitty. Kadaj, get the monkey lady. On we go, Cuore!"

[ooc] Hoo-boy... Now Sky's out of his element, and I'm in mine (I hate writing fights - can't write a good one worth beans). A note: there are no monsters in Iri Forest. They've long been driven away by the elven peoples for disturbing the natural creatures. Also, Eisei Hayashi and Iri 'Village' (I use that term incredibly loosely, as calling Iri a village is the same as calling New York City a village) are the same place, but Eisei Hayashi is the real name. Iri is actually the name of the forest, but humans are retarded and thought that was the name of the city. Elves still call it Eisei Hayashi for the most part. Anyway, on with the show. [/ooc]

Iri Port

Waves broke against the boat's hull, splashing over the edge and onto its exhausted, cold and wet passengers, as it strained against the flow of the river. To their left, these strained people could see the sun setting over a rare grassy field, brilliant hues of red, gold, purple and blue staining the sky as the navy darkness overtook the emptiness above them. A few stars already shone bleakly, dulled like the spirits their handful of onlookers. They'd barely escaped the Capitol, retreating a place few of them knew, and two of their most prominent leaders had disappeared from the battlefield. It was safe to say that things weren't looking great for the Rebels.

Screeching metal rang through the air, causing several passengers to cringe as the boat docked. Already a team on lithe elven men were tying the vessel to the spot, assisted by the occasional human. A long plank dropped between it and the perfect wood of the dock, bridging the almost six-foot gap. Moments later, as the last touches were finished, they jumped out of the way, ushering the travelers to depart. A large crowd, it took time for all to leave the swaying boat and set foot on the highly compacted ground. It seemed no different from any other port, a building or two around them and more as they looked around. The only true difference was the enormous trees that grew everywhere, hundreds of feet tall. If they looked hard enough, they could spot the buildings scattered throughout the treetops, held aloft by branches and magic.

Though this alone was an astounding sight, it was nothing compared to Iri itself as a few ventured toward the inner city. Leading the band was six elvish women, all acquainted with the area to certain degrees. Things became more and more surreal as they moved from the more industrious farming villas on the outer fringes to the beaten, semi-paved roads of the residential and then to the hard, grey roads surrounding by gradually taller buildings in the heart of the city. Metal was intermingled with wood and what could've been living vegetation, sturdier than any other known plant. Some even gave off an eerie bioluminescence, like the neon signs of the human cities.

Races of all kinds walked the streets, ranging from Ronso to Moogle to human, but the predominant race was, of course, the elves. It was an odd sight, for most of these races never intermingled, but then again, Iri was a strange place. Ever since the human invasion, it had been a melting pot of races, cultures and sights. In no other place could you find a Bangaa giving tips to a human on how to fry the meat off a garuda. Truly, their stay in this place was going to be an odd one.

Isilme Aldamar, Outside the Capitol

A few people idly strode through the halls of a large, grey marble house, making their way to various tasks. One particular person, a young elven girl with curly black hair, was merely reading a book in the library, enjoying the temporary peace. Unfortunately, that wasn't meant to last very long.

From thin air, two figures dropped into the room, one supporting the other. By the sheath of blonde hair, the young woman instantly knew who the unexpected arrival was and jumped up, forgetting her book in an instant.

"Lady Artemis, what happened?" she asked, rushing to the pair. She took ahold of the man she didn't recognize, helping artemis support him.

"Long story," the elder woman muttered, glancing around. "Damn, the library? I was aiming for a guest room." The black-haired girl arched her eyebrows.

"Aiming? For a guest room? Huh?" Artemis shook her head without looking at the girl.

"Not now, Erwyn. First we need to get him to a bed." The girl obeyed, helping him through the halls, past the funny stares, into the first unoccupied bedroom they came across and layed him on the bed gently. Waiting for a moment to take his pulse (not that it truly mattered) and make sure he was still alive, or at least his own special brand of living, Artemis shook her head.

"The fool nearly killed himself fighting his way out of the Capitol," she informed. Erwyn gave her a startled look.

"What happened at the Capitol?"

"Nothing short of utter chaos, really. We're all lucky to be alive."

"What happened?"

"Erwyn, this is neither the time nor the place. I'm sure the word will spread like wildfire, anyway. As it is, I won't be staying long. This was simply the closest place to shimmer to, and I couldn't even get the spot right. I just need to rest for a while and gather some supplies, and then we'll be on our merry way." She began to exit the room, but the younger girl halted her with a hand on her chest.

"What's going on? What the hell is shimmering? Who is he? What happened to him?"

"Not right now. If the Government responds the way I anticipate, then everything will be explained soon, though not without their little twists." The archeress tried proceeding again, but the firm hand remained.

"Everyone here wants an explanation, and now. You don't come around for months, nearly a year, and then here you are again, and you won't tell us what's going on. You know that we remain loyal to both you and the Rebels, but we are becoming anxious, and some are threatening to leave. We need answers, and now."

Artemis turned sharply to look at the girl, a most dangerous gleam in her eyes.

"Erwyn, do not command me. We may be equals, but I am the Lady of the house, and you shall act accordingly. If you refuse to do so, I will be forced to treat you as kotyaer and too act accordingly. Now, if you value your life, you will step aside. I am in no mood to deal with this."

Slow and reluctantly, the girl moved away, head bowed fearfully toward the floor, and Artemis proceeded without another word. Employees who couldn't take an order were not what was she was here to deal with, and her mood had already been descending into the darkness when she'd arrived. Sky had been completely off his rocker to think that she was going to leave him there alone in that sad state. When - if - he woke up, she was going to make sure he didn't go out to fight again, not during this tiny reprieve. Well, that and smack him hard.

Xan stopped at a nearby tree, and stopped to get a good look at the city. Indeed, that was the only name he could call it, considering its massive size. He was coming close to what could only be called a gate; it didn't look like it was meant to keep anything from coming or going, but that it was designed to let people know that this was a definite thoroughfare through the city.

He walked the streets somewhat aimlessly for a few hours, not sure where to begin. It wasn't until weariness set in that he finally stopped. He took a look around his surroundings, and noticed an inn just down the street. The sign above the door read "Pheonix River Inn". Xan just shrugged and stepped inside.

Aether thought it best to make leave now, it was already late and he had waited long enough. He managed to wake Chobi with certain ease (he had to pull one of his feathers). After travelling down a path for a few hours til he came into view of Iri village, He gasped in awe. He had never seen such a large city, he couldn't wit to get there. Aether and Chobi raced down to hill towards the wondrous city until they came to a large gate.

After Aether had looked at all that interested him, he finally decided to head over to the phoenix inn in which his was meeting his kinsman. When he arrived at the Inn he had to tell Chobi to wait outside after he bit one of the waiters which caused quite a ruckus. After he had settled down by a nice table by the window he ordered a tonberry-berry juice (his personal favoutite drink). He examined his fellow patrons, few caught his eye. Except for one. A small table in the corner of the room with a demon on it. He had to talk and examine it.

He walked straight up to the table and immdiatley began conversation with the demon.

"Hey mister! Are you a demon"? He questioned like a student does to his teacher.

[ooc] Aether was fighting monsters on the very very far edge of the forest where there still are monsters so =P[/ooc]

Netheroth looked up from awakening Eden, and the boy approached his booth. He was inwardly surprised, and wondered how the young one had any idea what he was, but the demon kept a strait face, nontheless. Most other people would only have wondered about the crimson hair and slitted yellow eyes for a moment; they could easily be effects of mako, or even some obscure race.

"What makes you think that, boy?" Netheroth inquired calmly, almost in a monotone - unthreatening, but unwelcoming.

A shady figure watched in the corner of the inn. He had a black cloak on with his face completely shadowed by the hood. He watched the boy with great angst.

"Could he possibly sense me as well? No...he's a child. He saw the odd appearance and jumped to conclusions. He can't have any real backings to his beliefs other than the demon's looks."

He watched on. He was perplexed by the demon. There, with a girl. Why would a demon be with an innocent girl like that and, more importantly, what would provoke such a young child to ask a complete stranger such a bold question? He didn't like the way things were turning out. He wanted to remain elusive, but if anything were to go down in this inn, surely there would be a trace of his presence.

"Maybe I should leave...but that would only draw more attention. This boy may not notice me here...but if he truly can sense these things, he will most definitely spot me if I get up and walk out."

The cloaked figure continued to sit and watch. Of course, with his face being veiled in darkness, no one could possibly know who or what he was watching, if anything. He remained perfectly motionless the entire time.

Ouka, knowing the area slightly better than most, having lived in one of the trees on the outskirts, led Xadako's group of "assorted" travellers to the inn, where she thought she had the best chance to get away if she had to. Then she remembered something:
Someone may recognize me. I wonder how well this hood covers my face.
"They may have something for you here, Cat."
"That's Master Mao to you. Thanks for your company, but it's time for me to leave you. I just have to get the best room."
"You'll need money. This is an inn, not a shelter, kitty."
"No matter. I can just use the art of unlock."
"The art of unlock?! That's a burglar's trick!"
"Shut up, already! All of you, we're going in here and we will socialize to the best of our abilities. I'll see if I can put on a show for these people. Let's see if I've lost my touch after all that fighting!"
When they enter, Xadako notices, but ignores, the other Consortium member in the inn. Why should she waste her time with someone she doesn't recognize? She sees someone out of the corner of her eye that may be useful to her in the future. Then she sees him talking to someone with little interest. She approaches, anyway. She politely waits until they find the time to break their conversation before she speaks.
Ouka stands close to the door, her face down so she doesn't attract too much attention, not that she would as a single member of a large group that only recently walked in. She looks around to see if anyone is watching her, but getting no response, she sits at a table and opens her locket.
"Master? Hello?" She closes the locket and whispers quietly to herself, "it must be the magick around in the air that's interfering with the veil between the worlds. I'll have to escape while I can."
She walks casually to the door and is stopped by Kadaj.
"Leaving already? We haven't been given the orders, yet."
Mao walks in after a thorough "talk" with Joachim, who is covered in scratch marks.

"Well mister, the aura you give of is distincly dark, meaning your not one of us living" He replied. He smiled.

"I've never seen a real demon before, whats your name"? He questioned once again.

He examined every inch of the demon from top to tail. Amazing his power was almost as powerful as Raven's, he had never seen anyone who could even match Raven's power. He wondered if he could teach him some magic.

Xan was curious about the sudden activity in the inn. As soon as he stepped in, some boy ran across the room talking about demons and then a group of the most unusual people came in behind him. He hoped it was his imagination that he heard the cat talk.

He strolled to the bar and asked for some mulled wine. Once he got his drink, he surveyed the room for a place to sit.

The child could sense auras? Perhaps he was, indeed, special... but it would be dangerous to let any normal person know what he was, because they would be afraid. He might be separated from Eden. Though Netheroth did not care personally for the woman, he had promised to protect her until she was in Payne's care again.

"A dark aura means nothing of the sort, young one. I know several people with auras much darker than mine, who are most definetely 'among the living.' Besides, demons are alive. Their souls are simply more concentrated than those who are bound to a mortal body." Netheroth turned back towards Eden, and once again reached out to waken her, but then remembered the boy's second question. "Oh, and... my name is Netheroth." The demon-in-disguise leaned over the table once again, nudging the girl's arm.

[ooc] Mirage: Probably not.

Kane: It's only been a few minutes since the ship arrived... so Kane couldn't have been wandering for hours. Sorry.

The above comments is just me being stupid.. sorry. [/ooc]
