No... the "|"'s don't designate new pictures... just the order in which the words fade onto the screen. Each "paragraph" in my transcription would have a different picure, and a few might have a couple (but they'd be successive... like an animation). Sorry for the confusion.

There, | they found that they had been replaced by a race of utterly inferior beings.

Enraged, the demons invaded the surface world, | razing settlements, | pillaging cities, | and massacring every human they found.

Thus, | a new battle began.

Humanity's ingenuity and ever-expanding potential won out in the end, | and, | with terrible sacrifices, | they conquered the demon threat.

A warrior queen struck the demon king down, | her sword punching through his chest. | Humanity could finally stop and rebuild, | for the war was over.

Or so they thought.

However, | the queen, | mortally wounded in the fight with the demons' king, | was unready for the demonic lord's final attack.

With his dying breath, | the lord placed a curse upon the queen's blood, | and so upon the blood of all of humanity.

The demons would have their vengence.

and now for character intros.
I would avoid using exact measurements of time in the opening, as of now. Seeing how the exact dates have never been made, I don't want the chance of a time loop hole.

"After centuries of fighting" isn't very specific... it could even be over a millenium, so... that's what I'll use. There won't be any loopholes.
