It'd not be pointless. Your strength would increase your damage with that element, but you wouldn't automatically get the damage. So they COULD cancel out, but they wouldn't be pointless. Also, if someone uses your element against you, you would resist it (somewhat).

Well, that's where I got stuck. I was thinking of having like 2 groups of elements. Like Fire, Ice, Water, Lightning, Air, Earth as Group 1. Holy, Unholy, few more as Group 2.
Cosmos maybe an element?
