Now, I should attend to this wounded soldier..." Netheroth moves past Eden, crouches next the Cloud, and leans over him. Netheroth's hands move deftly over and around Cloud's body , seeming to search and feel through an invisible, identicle body floating just inches above the real one. As he does this, he mutters to himself, "Bullets... lots of them... they're embedded all over, and some are in spots where they could do real damage. This man is lucky that he doesn't have chunks of metal holding puncturing holes in his heart, lungs, or... anything else, for that matter."

At this point, Darkrist strides into the midst of the group. "Just kill him. Or better yet, let him die. It'll save energy. We don't need him. He's just and insignificant--"

Netheroth, aware of the raw emotions Darkrist is stirring in Sky and his companions, cuts Darkrist off. "Oh, I'm sorry, this is Darkrist. He came here in search of me and Yawgmoth, but considering his lack of power and skill, he is now bound here, bye me. You'll have to excuse him, he's a bit... impulsive... and violent. But don't worry. As long as I'm here, he can't hurt a fly if I don't want him to." Turning to the other demon, Netheroth becomes colder, more hostile, "This man is definately not 'insignificant', Darkrist. And you'd do well to listen to what these people tell you."

[ooc]Just to let people know, the reason Netheroth used the Life Stream is because he uses his powers similarly to a summoner (manipulating pyrefli--I mean Life Stream...)

Mirage: Again, these are just normal soldiers under the employ of Shinra--not SOLDIERs, who are much more powerful.[/ooc]

Netheroth, wishing to continue his conversation, does not move forward, but instead raises his right hand, letting is hang, loosely pointing towards the soldiers. That same silver energy forms around it, and a small section of the warriors suddenly stop in their tracks. They begin to shiver, dropping their weapons. Gravity appears to become nonexistent for them, as their violent quivering raises each of them a small amount into the air, their arms and legs loosely spread. One by one, the shaking jolts their chests as if some invisible giant were shaking their souls out... and then, bursting forth from their mouth, ears, eyes, even their nails and pours, comes the soldier's life energy. Their faces and eys become expression less, and they drop, limply, to the ground. In a few moments, color drains from their bodies, and their eyes cloud over. The stolen life forces are swirling above the bodies the once inhabbited, and, with one loose movement of Netheroth's arm, they move together, and sweep over another patch of unsespecting foes. This time, the soldier's bodies dissolve, as if the life stream were floating acid. From the melting people comes more energy, adding to the mass of power. "Enough," Netheroth breaths, and directs the power at the ground. As the life force collides with the earth, it takes a new form, becoming solid. A shell of skin forms around the behemoth, and hundreds of needlelike spines protrude from it's body.

Darkrist, seeking a chance to unleash some destruction, charges forward with astonishing speed, a trail of golden light behind him. As he reaches the group of soldiers, he grabs one by the throat. Swinging around, Darkrist tosses the man toward one of his fellows with deadly force. The warrior's souls rush out of their bodies and into Darkrist. Fueled by this tantilizing morsel, the demon's irises begin to glow brightly again, and black sections grow blacker, absorbing almost all light that touches them. The contrast is a horrifying sight, and strikes fear into all foes that lay eyes upon him. "The more fear, the riper the soul," Darkrist mutters under his breath, grinning. Darkrist's limbs begin to radiate a powerful, golden light. All his attacks are increased tenfold, and with a strike to an enemy's chest, he causes them to explode. Darkrist tears and blasts his foes appart with his bare hands, and with each kill, more souls are absorbed, damning them for eternity, and feeding the demon's power.

[ooc]Note: The spikes on Netheroth's summon are only needlelike to it. In reality, they are about a 1--3 dm (10--30 cm) in diameter at their bases.

Also, Darkrist is absorbing the souls of his "allies'" kills...[/ooc]
