[/ooc]

Artemis and Appollo, both stuck in the ghostly plane, find another creation of Shinra's scientific experiments- this time a clone. Created from both Artemis and Appollo, she seeks to destroy them both and claim a true soul of her own. Artemis and Appollo will have none of it, and temporarily overcome their differences and band together to fight off Appolonia.

Kane and Sky both find themselves washed up on Crater- a small island taken up entirely by a huge crater. Shinra did a great job of covering this up, so the Rebels had no idea of this location to check for them. As Kane fought his way through the dangerous caves and tunnel systems of Crater, the great quantity of Mako energy decides to force some memories back into Sky's brain. Lost in the deep, dark caverns of his mind, Sky discovers that he himself was not quite "real". Besides the fact of being an unsent, he finds he was a clone injected with Jenova cells.

Plagued by the memory of finding this out as a child and going on a rampage, Sky finally pulls himself out of his surreal world and finds himself on the beach of Crater. He meets up with Kane, and they both see Shinra ships in the distance. With a plan to sneak aboard these ships and make it back to the mainland, they sneak away through the tunnel systems to the very edge of the island. At the opportune moment, Sky and Kane both make a run (or swim) toward the lead ship, but find it abandoned. Ambushed by Shinra soldiers armed with sedative darts, Kane and Sky have no chance to react, and the captain of the ship (Sephiroth, who would have thought) has them bound and gagged in the cargo area of the ship.

Meanwhile, on the beach searching for Sky and Kane, Cloud and KOS-MOS were discovered by Shinra authorities. Cloud was carted off to the Northern Capital faced with destroying NeoMidgar. Based on misinformation given to them by Sephiroth, Shinra finds Cloud guilty and sentences him to be put in the Trail del Sol. After finding that KOS-MOS was in fact stolen during the battle of Mako #10, the Shinra seized her and began repairs.

After the major repairs were done and the scientists left her room in the heart of Mako #3, she began an automatic start-up sequence- something disabled since her first archetype. She began extracting confidential data from every Shinra database, and even into secret databases within herself. She then took over the Mako Reactor and began draining it's energy at much too fast of a pace in an attempt to destroy the reactor.

Artemis and Appollo, upon returning to Astoloria, find Hanshi, who explains to them how long they've been gone and what they've missed. All three decided to go help the disheveled world and as they're searching for NeoMidgar, Artemis feels a strong pull of her mind. Investigating, she finds two familiar presences, then another two. The four are a group of female elven vigilantes who used to be elven royalty, but now serve vengeance upon the wicked.

Their leader, Avalon, is harshly surprised by the fact that Artemis travels with Hanshi, whom she believes murdered an entire village years back. Hanshi starkly denies it, and the two square off verbally. Avalon is shocked and appalled when she learns that that Artemis is herself part vampire, being someone she once trusted beyond all means. Neither Hanshi nor Avalon will back down, so another woman from the group, Lynwen, steps in to try and calm the two. She dissolves enough tension to get both groups, now one, to leave this place so they can achieve more than simple arguing, though they would only be heading into more trouble, like always.

[ooc] Okay, so I'm starting this off. And heeeeere weeeee goooooooooo...[/ooc]

The two groups, or one, however you looked at it, walked in near silence, except for the occasional misstep that caused sound. Any onlookers would've seen nothing but seven shimmery shadows through the mist. They made no sound because of their light elven steps, and all were skilled enough to mar their images to people who would see their faces and remember, people who could easily have them killed. Even if you could look at them directly, a blanket of memory distortion spells would surely drive you mad after a few days or so. And that's exactly what Appollo thought she would do: go mad.

"Okay, okay!" she shouted, stopping dead in her tracks. "Seriously, why the complete silence? I'm going to freaking go insane if you all make a little less noise."

Avalon too stopped and stared at Appollo. "My, my. You're very loud and outspoken, aren't you? Very unlike dear old Natulcien. But you're more like her mirror than her clone, aren't you?"

Appollo grinned; she was messing with the wrong elf. "Oh, I'm her clone, her sister, her mirror image and twin. But if you hate me so much, shouldn't you hate her more? Because, in fact, she is the vampiric protege of someone you abhor with your entire being. I'm just a poor clone, created in a tube and again by the earth's will," she spat, stopping to let the acid sink in.

Avalon looked near ready to pop, mostly because she knew Appollo was right, but refused to acknowledge that. She couldn't accept that or she'd have to accept that maybe she was wrong in hatiing Hanshi. Admitting she was wrong was something she just didn't do. It came from a lot of male warrior influences. And a pride in her judgement. Before she could think up a witty retort, Artemis stepped in.

"Instead of arguing amongst ourselves, why don't we try to find my friends? According to Hanshi, all the Rebel leaders haven't turned up since the explosion. We need to find them."

Indria piped up. "I think that's a good idea. I've heard a great deal about the Rebels and I think we can help."

"I do too," chimed in Catalyna. Lynwen just nodded in agreement. Artemis smiled and looked around.

"I'm okay with it," added Appollo, as did Hanshi. She looked last to Avalon, who merely grunted.

"Fine, then we'd better stop here for a while. I'm going to try to astrally project to Sky. This could be messy." She promptly sat down and entered a light trance which steadily grew heavier, until she slowly slumped like she was asleep. Minutes passed slowly for the rest without much action.

That is, until Artemis began convulsing.

As Yawgmoth stepped into the vast metropolis something very odd, no unnatural struck him. Among the many auras and souls, all of them fueled by the positive energy of mortal souls, all of them tempting, and maddenly close, was something unlike anything he had ever felt. One of these beings was fueled by neither the positive of energy that all humans relied on, or the negative energy of the undead and those of his race, but by no energy at all. He could nearly see this aura as a tangible thing, a spot of utter nothing in this unimaningably vast sea of energy. He sought the source of this lapse in the life forces of the city, expecting to come across a gate to another realm, a spirit of great power, or a part of the world that was simply dead. When at last he found the source of this aura he was shocked not to see any of the amazing things he had imagined, but a man....

CJ approached this new "slit eye" (as he decided to label all people like this.) CJ was no idiot and could easily tell that the coming of these people meant something. Regaurdless, when Cj got within speaking distance of the slit eye he said

"got any money mate, its been a few weeks since I've last eaten, you know"

Ouka ignores the person whom she's been trying to talk to, as neither one is the talkative type. She sails her little boat to the place she 'acquired' it from. She made sure nobody saw her before getting too close to land. When she left, she ran immediately to the closest city. She wanted to ask people what had happened in the past two years.

Rude piloted the helicopter over the crater where the rebel base used to be. He sighed, not really sure what he was looking for, but he felt he needed to look. He didn't know where the feeling came from, just that it was there.

As he continued to circle, he saw something he didn't expect. Raw materia. Lots of it.

He quickly landed, and his team of Turks spread out, examining the gems.

Rude was smiling. This much materia could be VERY useful.

[ooc] Just so you know CJ, Yawg's eyes aren't slitted, they're normally dead white but in his living body they're just normall. [/ooc]

Yawgmoth stopped in his tracks, amazed but not showing it. One of the the most extraordinary beings he had ever encountered, and he turned out to be a beggar! There was something horribly wrong with a universe that allowed something like this to happen. With all of this on his mind, Yawgmoth approached CJ, anger visible through his eyes.

"Begone you filthy beggar! And be quick with it or you shall meet the same fate as the last worthless whores who tried to waste my time!"

"No need to get testy, I was just asking. Does all of your kind have something against money. Your friend acted much the same way, except he went and blew a hole through me. I don't know about the other one."

Yawgmoth stops in mid sentence and his eyes grow wide as he finally realizes what CJ said.

[ooc] Sky is making me put this in here (mean ol' admin - Razz ). He told me the descrip of the room, so any info of the cargo deck is basically from him. [/ooc]

As all six other women began to freak out due to Artemis' convulsions, Artemis herself was seeing something quite different. She was flying, floating, standing, dreaming, waking, all at once. It was a freeing feeling, but it only lasted a few seconds. After that, Artemis was definitely grounded again, if you could say that. She was solid, but not too solid, and visible, a dim outline of herself, a ghost, if you believed in them. And she was in the last place she expected to find Sky.

She was on a ship cargo deck. There were a few boxes scattered around the room, leaning up against the slightly rusted walls. But the most interesting things were the two men held in the room. It was hard to tell from the little light, but they were without a doubt Sky and Kane.

Kane was still chained up, visibly unconscious, but Sky was, of course, in a much different place. He was on the floor, crumpled and surrounded by red, glowing chains. That wouldn't be so weird, save for the fact that Kane was still tied up and his chains were just a rusty black.

Artemis didn't know what to do. She didn't astral project a lot, so she didn't know her skills limits yet. But now was as good a time as any to learn, she guessed. Focusing herself, she willed her voice to be heard only by those in the room, simultaneously shouting "Sky! Kane!" Her words reverberated around the room, and she hoped they'd wake up.

Sky thought he had been fully awake, but apparently the Mako wasn't quite done. He kept glimpsing little bits and pieces of the incident, but couldn't piece anything together, and none of it stuck in his memory. He honestly never wanted to touch Mako again.

He jumped when he heard a familiar voice echoing in the cargo hold.

Still unfocused, he looked around the room with blurred vision. He didn't see the person who yelled anywhere. But he was surrounded by the red-hot pieces of his shackles.

What the hell?

Kane dreamed. He hadn't done so in a long time, mainly because sleep came less and less since the mako poisoning. He enjoyed his dreams, and when he heard someone shout his name, he was angry. Of course they wouldn't let him have his sleep. He should break free and kill those shinra dogs, just for ruining his sleep.

He carefully opened his eyes, and noticed Sky was on the ground, but not chained. In fact, the chains looked like they were burned off.

Kane sighed, but as he began to scan the room, his eyes passed over something strange. Perhaps he was just tired, or maybe he was going mad, but he could have sworn he saw a person standing there.

"This is weird..."

CJ gives the slit eye an odd look. "Don't you know, there have been three of you guys wandering around the city." " I didn't actually realize that one of them being a slit eye as I until I met one."
Then CJ came up with another question that he thought to be less provoking. " whose netheroth"

Since she found nobody to talk to, she ran to the Chocobo Ranch, climbed onto her black chocobo and rode quickly to the sea. She ran across the water until she saw a cargo ship. Not knowing what to do, she cautiously approached it. There might be hostile people aboard, something she was not in the mood to deal with right now.

Artemis smiled. Okay, so she had them awake and knew that she could at least make her voice heard. Now to try for the image.

Concentrating with all she could mentally muster, she willed her form to be visible. Opening her spectral eyes, she could see her body much more clearly, more like a see-through image of herself than a ghost, all black and white and barely an outline. She smiled and hoped her voice was still audible.

She poked her head through the wall and glanced around. Two guards at either end of the hall, and probably even more around the corners to make it seem easy to escape. She pooped back inside and just shouted a battle cry, then looked out into the hall again. Both visible guards looked around, but shook it off like a vaguely remembered odd dream. Good. So the walls were semi-soundproof. That would make this so much easier.

"SKY! KANE! LOOK AT ME!"
