I'd just like to say:

I like the idea of the competition thing, but not necessarily with clans. People could put a challenge up, two groups could form up, and then comete while being judged. Kind of a merc thing.

I also think that, to incorperate clans/guilds and PvP, there should be a specific RP (or a few, like a fantasy one, a sci-fi one, a modern/horror one, a sci-fantay one, etc.) that is made specifically for PvP. It would simply be faction vs faction... you could win territory, capture and kill leaders, etc... all of this would give your clan/guild points. Points would be good.

As I wrote this, I realized: let's incorperate both of these into one chunk! Use Clans for the cometition as well, be able to transfer clans... JUST COPY FFTA! I know that sounds unoriginal, but I thought of most of it seperately and then realized how similar it was. Sorry for the messy post.

Well, Switch, if you think about it, the FFHaven RP has two "groups"- the Rebels and the Shinra/Government. However, that gets rather bland, and is really specific to that RP. I think the groups would have to be more general, not just for a specific RP.

...considering the RPs are going to end up being many and very different, this could be a long process with a lot of thought involved.

I don't think that the pvp rp should be connected to any other rp... it just wouldn't work (I don't think)

here's an example of a pvp rp (it's not done):

RP Name: Endless Perspective PvP (Is this an alright name?)

RP Level: ??? (what level should it be? light? there's really no plot...)

Genre: Fantasy

Plot: In this world, the people rule. Everyone belongs to a guild, whether it be the assasin's syndacate or the black mage's guild. Territroies are captured, prisoners are traded, wars rage. (should there be more of a plot?)

Classes:
Fighter
Rogue
Tradesman
White mage
Red mage
Black mage
Other (request a class?)

Battle system: (I'm thinking a kill system... make it hard to kill a player, but general battle is free-form... and maybe materia?)

Rez system: You can rez a character that is killed (for a penalty), or you can make a new character and copy exp over (for a penalty) For example, exp might be measured in materia, and when you die you can trade materia in and get new stuff for a new character, but you lose 1 materia)

World Map: Coming

Maybe this should be a whole new board... with roleplaying and characters... Then subboards could make up the world map, and players could fight in different places, capture subboards, etc. It would be an ever-changing world... but that's if this becomes EP's pvp board.

I know there are definately flaws, and I don't haave a ton of xperience, but...
