I was thinking about installing a chatroom for you guys, once we start picking up some activity. It would be kinda nifty. I'd use either phpMyChat (php and mySQL) or gtchat (perl).

What do you all think?

I might be able to integrate it into the phpBB, so that in the "Who's Online" area, it would tell you who is currently chatting. I dunno, just a thought.

Hmm... I'm not sure if we'd need it, but it might be a nice feature anyway.

I think it would be cool, except usually not many people are on at the same time. It probably wouldn't be used much. Also, although I can't speak for others, but I'm sure its the same for others, that when I'm not posting, I'm usually at another site or playing a game(usually the latter).

I guess it's going to be a "try and see" type thing.

It would be a cool feature if we were all on at the same time...Otherwise it would be wasted (like Kane said)

If we get more people, It would be good. if not... it would be useless. It might be nice sometimes, though. Put it up, and If we don't use it a lot, who cares? It's there if we need it!

however they tried it a the PA bigfoot website *not that i belong there (>.<)* and it didnt work because the members never used it at the same time.

Yeah, that seems to be the only issue with making one is whether more than one person will be on at a time. Perhaps I should make one when we get a bit bigger?

I think the problem isn't so much really active members being on as really active members being on at the same time.

I think it's a good idea.

It'd be fun to have a place to chat between the members. I'm sure we're all not on here at the same time all the time, but there have been several times when I've been on along with other members.

As we get more members, which I'm sure we will, there will be more people to chat with. ^_^

And since my other computer is, well, OFFLINE, I'll be doing my work on this computer, and it will save all the open windows I'll have to have (I use Trillian, so all my IMs would be in one window on the other computer, while in this one...let's just say there'd be about 20...)

Ok, well, now that the chatroom is open, I'll use this thread for feedback on the chatroom and suggestions.

I've been thinking we should get an RP started inside the chatroom itself. It'd be very fast paced and would probably be a lot of fun. What do you think?
