My idea is simple. An RP that is created by everyone. Storyline, Races, Landscape etc. I was thinking of the genre being something in the horror region, due to the fact we don't have any. That's all I have to say until I hear from you EP miscreants.

Oh, forgot something. I was hoping that this one could make use of some sort of battle hack maybe? Seeming as we don't have one up and running.

Like your idea man. Was planning on starting one soon anyways. This site doesn't have many horror rps. Something like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, or more dark with vampires, werewolves, or an apocolypse? What are some of your ideas?
I'm full on this, and could come up with some great stuff, horror is my expertise for rp. Post more ideas man.

My intial idea was a city taken over by a vampire lord with a huge dark tower in the centre. With all characters being the 1% that haven't been turnt into the undead. Much like the city in the Devil May Cry series.

Oi, the unforgotten was definetly horror, of the cthulu brand. If you want more horror ideas, (especially cthulu brand, cuz' lovecraft is teh roxxors and I like drawing monstrosities.), I'm all for that.

I am totally all for this! This sounds awesome! What about like a mystery or something too? Like, there's a vampire loose or something and only two or three people are in on who the vampire is while the others have to figure out who it is with subtle clues? Maybe something for newer people not used to RPing?

But I really love the idea Mirage! I love werewolves and such. =D

I think yours will just be more like a horror version of Story of the World...but it would be nice to have Razz

Well, the idea is awesome...more of a collab than SotW is, since a portion of SotW is all my creation...everything else is editable...

I know, I'm rambling, but I'm about to be able to play games on the (formerly) slow computer at my house Razz

I love when I find two hard drives with several expensive programs on them Razz

I'll help with creation of this RP, too, since SotW appears to be dying (unless someone posted today, I haven't looked yet).

I was aiming to have it in the future, not to far though. Like the 22nd century and such. With vampires being relatively fresh beings to earth. Meaning there would be various organizations with the sole objective to eliminate them.

Also, there will be four main parts I'm hoping. The vampire and the three Belmont siblings. The Belmonts being the vampire slaying family from Castlevania.

22nd's cool. Kind of like the movies blade in a way that vampires have been around and their's organizations and such. I still like the tower in the middle of the city. Just a few humans left that are trying to bring down and eliminate the vampire monarchy, and undead.

Hmmm......belmont siblings,

I'm morally opposed to blatantly ripoffs of non-public domain characters (the belmont clan is definetly owned by a video game company.) The characters of bram stoker's novel are public domain I believe (seeing as how castlevania has used some), or you could make up your own vampire slaying clan. I'm only saying this cuz' it bothers me.

You should also decide the existance of dracula if your going to have an anti-vampire family.

I'm also big fan of the "odd faction" that doesn't properly blend or contrast with the other two factions (I'm saying two, as the 3/4 of the suggested groups share a destiny). In this case, a group that isn't anti-vampire but doesn't want to help them either.

When dealing with near futuristic times there are two things to take into account.

Spectrum: Just how far do you think society has advanced in a century. A low advancement would generally just be crisper, more flexible, more effeciant versions of modern electronics. A high advancement has flying cars.

Cultural Stuff: How has society as a function advanced. Has the world united against the common vampire foe, or have some countries attempted to ally themselves with the children of the night, or have various factions overthrown the governments of old, in response to the new species, has the world stayed somehow the same, has any world wars taken place?

Yep, I knew this would be a good idea. You guys have really helped me get the picture in my head. Dracula is non-existent in the RP and is, like in our world, a fairytale. The advancement is more like that of a cyberpunk genre, big hulking polluting machines, barren wastelands etc. See AKIRA.

The vampires are few, and powerful. Some countries have simply been overthrown by single vampires, thus some countries have sided with them. Mostly countries near Russia.

So are countries in the Western Hemisphere even aware of the vampires or do they just pretend they don't exist for better publicity?

Also, if there is no Dracula, and he's a legend even in this world, where did the vampires come from? Is it some "being bit" theory or what? Or does it not matter?

No, all countries know of vampires. No-one really knows where vampires originate from, but they know that it is must certainly not from Dracula and they know they have only just appeared and not been in hiding for centuries.

Is there any section of society thats actually trying to find out what is up with the vampires.

Have their been any specific technologies devoloped in order to counter vampires (stake gun, garlic grenades, sunlight in a jar?)

You want to create a whole new world and order for this RP? With countries and such, that might be way to deep. I liked the idea of maybe a few selected cities or something, developing a whole new world with every piece of technology more advanced right down to every detail might be a bit to much.

I like the idea of Dracula being a legend in this world. I've seen Akira, one of my favorite movies, the environment from Akira would tie in well to the story and the environment we'd be role playing in. The barren wastelands, and pollution every where sounds like a good idea. What weaknesses would the vampires have, is it a typical vampire or a creation of your own with different immunities and powers?
