I may as well post this... (Mon Oct 24, 2005 10:19 pm) Quote

When it comes to literature, I'm not that great... however I do tend to make a few short quotes that are sometimes quite deep and meaningful. Well anyway, my most recent two are these...

~"Look back on your past and never forget it. To forget your past, is to lose your future. But to look only on the past is to forget your future. And to look only on the future, is to forget your present. Your present is what it is, because of your past. Your future will be what it will, because of your present. Look back on the past with pride, look onward to the future with hope, and look at your present with will to continue on."

The sceond one is in my signature. I personally think I did better on the one in my sig (which is why it's there).

What do you guys think? Comments and suggestions are both encouraged and appreciated.

Nothing is stronger than the human spirit. The will to succeed is the strength that will make you successful. The courage to move on is the strength that will carry you forward. The motivation in your mind is the strength that will help you learn. And the power in your heart is the strength that will take you beyond your limits...

Personally, I feel that the best quotes are short and to the point. Long quotes tend to be superfluous in content and are undoubtedly more difficult to remember.

That aside, I think the messages you're conveying are top-notch. Smile

Actually, most of my quotes are short. When I made those, I was trying to see if I could do long ones, that still gave a strong message. xD

Thanks =)

My introduction title was a quote, I'm good at making meaningless ones. Its sort of a hobby. Heres my favorite one.

"When in doubt, draw on a tree."

I"ll this one does have meaning, but I'll leave it to you to figure this one out.

And for the record, long quotes are really really difficult to quote.
