Dayne sped through the streets, weaving in and out of any passers by. Luckily, he didn't run into any hostilities this time around. A couple of times, he was close to this, but managed to avoid it by simply running. He had no time to waste with petty fights with lowlifes.

Running through the dimly lit streets didn't bother him. The thugs and villains that lurked around didn't scare him, but something he couldn't describe made him feel on edge. Constantly, he felt like eyes were on him. He stopped and turned around a few times, but he saw nothing. 'It has to be my imagination,' he thought to himself as he started off again.

As he neared the palace, the buildings became more exquisite and elegant. Likewise, the people seemed to be, too. Nearing the palace, he stopped. Breathing deeply, he took in deep breaths. He had ran a long way, after all.

He sat down, sitting on a step which was one of many leading up to a grand hallway of marble which lead to the palace, itself. "He had better bloody be here ..." Dayne muttered, cracking his fingers in front of him.

"Excuse me? Are you looking for someone named Samael?" Aliya shadow-skipped behind him only a split second before she spoke, carefully hiding the exhaustion from the chase.

"If you are, please tell him he needs to speak to me. I have business I must attend to with him," again, she hid a little of the truth from her prey, "nevermind. I'll come with you...unless you're looking for someone else...I apologize for my assumption. Here, have some water. You look tired; have you been running?"

Dayne screamed, then held his mouth and looked at the new arrival, embarrassedly. "Where the hell-" Dayne begun, changing mid-sentence. "You scared me ..."

Dayne took the water, murmuring thanks and drank. He wiped his mouth, passing the bottle back, then answered her question with another. "How do you know I'm looking for Samael?" He peered at her, suspiciously, calm on the outside, anger - and fear - filling him inside. 'How did she find out? I could've been going anywhere,' Dayne thought.

Aliya thought quickly, then replied to his question.

"I'm looking for someone with that name and it looked like you were trying to find someone. Apparently he's quite popular now if you really are looking for him. Oh, and you can have the water. I'm not one to keep using something someone else put their mouth on."

She held out the water as if it had been covered in feces and held out the other hand to help Dayne up.

Dayne smiled and took the bottle as he got up. "Thanks," he said, cheerfully. What he felt was different, though. He was masking the rising suspicions he had. Even so, he figured she had her reasons to be after Samael, and he didn't want to be rude to her.

He turned to look up the steps. They seemed slightly ominous, with the huge marble hallway, overlooking everything at the top. "Are you sure you want to follow me? He's a rather ... dangerous guy, you know," Dayne said, keeping his eyes ahead.

"I have no idea who he is, but I can't get his name out of my head. I figured if I met him, I'd be able to get it out. What's your name, anyway? We've been talking all this time and haven't even introduced each other...I'm Aliya, by the way."

She held out her hand for a handshake, though not expecting to get one for some reason since she did kind of sneak up on him.

Dayne listened to her reasons, remaining sceptical. However, he did think he could trust her a little, accepting her handshake. "Name's Dayne," he said, smiling.

Dayne turned round and headed up the steps, expecting Aliya to be following. "So, when you meet this guy ... what're you gonna do?"

For once, it was Aliya who was surprised. This was one of the few times she hadn't thought a long way ahead.

"To tell the truth, Dayne, I have no idea. I just don't want to be alone when I see him...What would you do in my situation?"

Seven watched as the human prepared a cup of something for him. He sat down where he had placed the cup that was intended for Seven. He was cautious at first, after the first sip though he found that whatever this was it was absolutley delicous. He licked his lips of the remaining fluid around his mouth. So it wasn't some kind of elaborate poison. Suprising, most humans would jump at the chance to kill someone who had almost ripped them in half.

"Could I have some more please? It is delightful." He asked the human.

(I've lost track of Abbey's character here, so if you please Abbey?"

[ooc] So have I Razz I didn't remember her name without looking it up Razz [/ooc]

Gisselle remained cautious around this other person, as he seemed very evil to her (whether he was or not, she didn't know). She finished the tea she left earlier and asked for more, as well.

[ooc] This seems so short compared to any of my other posts...I want to post as Chu, but I can't until...yeah... [/ooc]

Dayne peered curiously at Aliya as they continued to ascend. He thought about what to say for a few seconds simply since he didn't really know what to say. He couldn't very well tell her he'd run in her situation. It'd be rude.

"Just stay close, okay? I hear he isn't too ... pleasant," Dayne said. "I dunno why you're after him, but you'd better be careful."

"I don't really know why I'm after him, either..."

Aliya moved a little closer, but still kept some distance.

A little girl runs in front of them (Cho). She holds her arms out to the sides and says, "You're not getting close to my father. I won't let you!"

She thinks for a second, then adds, "He's not here anyway...would you mind waiting for him in our hidden office? There are a lot of people there who could keep you entertained..."

Dayne almost ran in to attack, but upon realising what had ran out in front of them was a young girl, he went against such an idea. He still held a defensive stance, however, his fist in front of him.

"I had no idea Samael had a daughter," Dayne said suspiciously. He sighed. "Listen, just move. I know he's here, kid."

Dayne really didn't want to have to force a young girl to move, but in the current situation, he felt like he might have no other alternative. Strangely, though, he felt like the person in front of him was more than just 'a little girl'.

Dayne quickly peered out of the corners of his eyes, trying to see if Aliya was still there while keeping an eye on the girl.

Aliya shadow-skipped to the girl, knowing it was a VERY dangerous move to give away her powers like that.

There's no way he'll trust me after that...

She jumps on the girl's back, puts her knife up to her throat, and asks: "Where is Samael?"

Cho laughs.

"Put the knife down, kid, it's not worth it. You'll suffer the same fate whether you come with me to him or not."

Cho draws her katar and swings Aliya to the ground with her arms.

Aliya tried to stab the girl, but only manages to scrape skin off of her wooden frame.
